The 6th annual World MoveIt Day saw 85 MoveIt contributors from around the world come together to work on the open-source MoveIt project. With over 5000 lines of code written, 115 pull requests reviewed, and 4 virtual meetups taking place across 64 locations continents.

World MoveIt Day 2021 in numbers:

Statistics 2021
Github pull requests merged 99
Github pull requests opened 113
Github issues closed 42
Github issues opened 50
Number of locations 64
Number of participants 85

We had the highest number of locations in the history of the MoveIt project (it helped that the world was more remote this year), and the 2nd highest number of pull requests we’ve ever had. Attendance was impressive and more diverse than ever, with a large showing coming from Tokyo, Berlin, and Istanbul. We’ll be reaching out to participants to learn more about what they enjoyed and what they’d like to see next year.
